Getting to know this town (beware children at play)

I have been living in Bendigo for just over 10 years now and I had no idea that there was this fantastic bit of bush that we can visit at Crusoe Reservoir.

Just by chance I found out about it - the local council held a local National Tree Planting day out there at the start of the month & last weekend I just had to return, with husband and bikes, and have a good wonder around.






I am getting myself involved in another community group - something that I find exciting and will give to my family. It is with the biodiversity group with the Bendigo Sustainability Group.

What I would like to help organise is regular activities for kids and their families in Central Victoria - as a way to form relationship to environment. Growing up on a farm I experienced something very unique and it would be wonderful to share this with my children - limited as I am living in suburbia.

Hj, like her brother is spoilt from all the gifts from their aunties and uncles for their birthdays! On Monday we got stuck into the 1001 craft pieces she received - including some masks!

She has recently got into making masks these masks are especially weird.

The Boys Trip to the Snow

My darling hubby and Kd took a day trip to the snow (nearly four hours away) with their bestest buddies to Lake Mountain - I was biting my nails all day - it is such a long way to drive in a day. But they came home safely to me and here are some photos of their fun.

My darling son's 7th birthday

I am up earlier this morning than he was last week - it was so very hard for him to wait until his birthday - he was so very excited. I am sorry it is all over, but we have one last celebration with my extended family tomorrow.

It was such a cold and wintry day - raining for the entire day. It was very wintry when he was born, although it was a drought and we never witnessed that sort of rain.

A little girls birthday next Saturday! She is completely over her brothers birthday and was upset when he received a special parcel in the post from my sister and brother in law from London. (which he just loved thanks Chell xxx)
