Family Favours and sticky dungeons

My brother and his darling wife to be run a yummy Thai restaurant here in town Bunja Thai
and they are extremely hard workers and decided to not only open 6 days a week for lunch and tea but also open for brunch on Sundays - last Sunday was their first brunch and at 12.30 we got a call at home to come in and EAT.

J and I are quite famous eaters; as is our darling Hj - Kd did a lot of sprinting and asking for soft drinks!

We have done a lot of lovely things lately - a bit of traveling that I am still recovering from (although this was nearly 2 weeks ago now) - for work. On the way back we stopped off at the The Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne

The day started out quite stormy - and we basically had the whole gardens to ourselves as no one else was out as early as us in a morning storm - but gee they were beautiful and inspiring. We all had a lovely time.

After the morning in the Australian native garden we got a text inviting us to Daylesford for my sister's birthday and we spent the afternoon in the Daylesford Wombat Hill Gardens - these gardens were just as amazing too - but totally different.

Lots of green grass (unusual for us in Central Victoria) and we had a really lovely time playing and lazying around in the shade. Although a few people got caught in the Sticky Dungeons

Grotty Monday & a visit to Great Nans

After a quick Monday morning HJ nap we jumped in the car and drove across town to visit Nan. Nan is my Nan and Great Nan to Hj & Kd.

Nan is a fantastic woman who I love dearly. Unfortunately it was a bit of a manic visit with my Children having a lovely time eating her scones all over the carpet, then playing in her curtains and behind the couch. Then running like maniacs from one end of the house to the other. I was one cross mummy.

I think we will visit in the afternoons from now on - morning visits are just too much for my electric power charged children

So by the end of the day myself and Hj & Kd were covered in grot - we did have a lovely day together - a lot of it inside as it really is starting to get hot. Look at our poor garden all frizzled and dust.

Monday joys

Monday is a special day for me as I have the whole day with my kiddies and I am a Mummy and yes I get to wear an apron ALL day.

This Monday we caught the bus to the library

We found some books to read and enjoyed each others company

Here is Hj Tuesday morning tucking into breaky and being a BIG girl. Cant wait to post when she is walking by herself.

Pizza, tennis, a sleep over & a moutain

It has been a while between posts - I am battling at the moment with our provider for broadband and we cant do anything so I am being sneaky at work and using their broad band to get my blog hit. AAAHHHH

Above is my vegie patch - nearly everything you see there I grew from seed (thanks Diggers!)

Very happy about this as I am building confidence in gardening and maybe after all this time I do have a green thumb (or the ability to cultivate one!)

Last Saturday I took a nice long road trip to a gorgeous place called Dunkeld to see a art work in progress for Next Wave - it was a long trip but worth it - meet some great people and had a fun time and a yummy counter meal.

Below is a pic of Trevor and some friends - it was Trevor's show that we were checking out

This was our Friday night's tea - another famous pizza from J - KADEL dont eat it all in one go!

I left with some friends for Dunkeld around 2pmish - the boys playing tennis in our dry dusty back yard.

afternoon at the Cusaks

Spent a relaxing couple of hours at the Cusaks on Tuesday. Sometimes I get so busy with work and then really tired I just don't get out enough visiting people and enjoying all the wonderful people who are connected to our family.

Cousins are pretty special

Then last night I had an extra special evening with two lovely friends at the wine bank. Thanks Girls - can't stop smiling - it was lots of fun
