Here he is my big cheesy boy on his first day of Kinder or Pre-school.
I think it was a very overwhelming experience for both of us as the kinder room was full of children and parents and it was an amazing exciting buzz - there were activities everywhere for them to do like a big tray of corn kernels to dig and pour into containers, roller painting with stencils, a huge wooden car garage and freeway, a home corner with dollies, cork blocks that you can bang shape into with little nails and hammer, a giant sized computer.
So as to the discussion on my families email group and the questions from S:
Did he have any tears?
Did Jeremiah go as well?
Did Tam have any tears?
Was he forced to wear a skivvy, but then didn't want to and then mum smacked him, but he won in the end?
Did he want to take the dog to the 'bring your pet day', but then mum said no, so you had to take a container full of snails?
Did he eat playdough?
Yes there were tears - but after kinder - I think he was really tired and overwhelmed.
Next week two days of kinder and packed lunch boxes! (without snails)

Bowls Green Rest Rooms
It is a little while back now but our little family went to a good friend's birthday party at a Bowling Green here in Bendigo. It was raining and unfortunately we didn't play bowls - and I didn't get any shots of anything much due to the weather and dragging kids out of puddles and mud.
However in the rest room here I got a trip back to memory lane and Nanna's world I guess.
- when I was little I did spend a lot of time on the bowls green and also the tennis courts in Dingee on hot Saturday afternoons.
Taking these shots and talking about the rooms with a friend, at the party, I also got a feel of what seems to be really trendy in the interior/exterior decorating world at the moment, and fashion and also visual arts - and that is to ham things up and make a statement clear and obvious and above and beyond the call of duty to a theme.
Techniques to do this include using clashes of colours or ideas particularly to make a statement clear.

Under Water world
Friday was nearly a week ago now - but what a special day it was for Kd and me. We had a making frenzy - creating an underwater world. Inspired by a recent trip to the beach, a shared love of making and also for me this wonderful newsletter I subscribe to calls Kids Craft Weekly.

Back from the Beach
Ooops - don't have any pictures of us on the beach - just too hard to have a camera on the beach with a 18th month old bubba and loads of sand and water. K will send me through some of her pics when they are back.
We were in Anglesea for three nights at a friends of a friend beach shack which was just cosy and wonderful. We holidayed with some lovely friends of ours who have a little boy, B, the same age as Kd. They had the best time playing from the moment they awoke until the moment we separated them to get them to sleep!
Kd just loved the ocean and if he could he would have spent the entire weekend there!
The garden of the holiday shack was set up for kiddies and they had a great time!
Hj found an opshop bargain and had a lovely time with her dolly. B relaxed with his violin
